Search for wildlife in and around the late-spring orchard
Join birding enthusiast Dr. Greg Birrer for a birding walk here at the farm. Look for warblers, vireos, flycatchers, thrushes, orioles, swallows, nesting birds, hawks & birds of prey.
Our leader is Greg Birrer, Ph.D. He has lived in Succasunna, NJ for the past 30 years and has birded for most of his life. He volunteers with the US Geological Survey Breeding Bird program and has done bird walks for NJ Audubon. He also recently competed in the World Series of Birding with others from his family.
Bring binoculars and a spotting scope if you have one! We may walk up to 1.5 miles, over generally level, sometimes muddy terrain. We will bird in all weather. Be sure to check the forecast in advance and dress in layers appropriate for prevailing weather conditions.
